Fund-raising Green Day 2011-2012
In order to get all students involved in all ongoing green projects, our school organized a Green Day on 4 November 2011. Participants wore their 2011-2012 class T-shirts and each class chose at least three green practices as their class’ Green Promise that the class would adopt and try to work on throughout the year. Participation in this activity not only helps the development of our green school status, but also arouses students’ awareness of and concern for environmental protection. We raised HK$38,098 and all money raised was put into the school green fund which is used to support environmental protection activities and green facilities in the school e.g. increasing the number of recycle bins. We bought 10 more sets of recycling bins and these have been allocated to each floor in all buildings.
